I’m going to make millions

… by repackaging old and tired science fiction and/or fantasy stories or situations into romance novel tropes.

Twilight and The Time Traveler’s Wife, for instance - extraordinarily similar stories have been done a million times in the ghetto of the science fiction genre, but stay mostly in obscurity.

But “girls” don’t like “science fiction,” so a cheesy, overblown romance element is added and suddenly it’s making millions and Eric Bana is starring in the movie.
